ART DOME IT CLUB

The Art Dome and Star Web Design present you with a unique course from a web development company for you and your kids: The Art Dome IT Club. A place where you can learn all about websites: how they work, what the front end is (HTML/CSS, JS), and what the back end does (PHP). Where the website is stored, how to access it, what the domain/server is, and much more, all about the IT Era on a Basic Level. You will be taught by a professional who has been working in this segment for 10 years or more.

Requirements for the course:

– Age is 7 and up.

– laptop (regular, could be not expensive, affordable cost one, Microsoft Software, recommend)

– willing and intense eagerness for the new knowledge

– mability to be present at each lesson

Course length 3 + months, one lesson per week, plus homework.

The course is bilingual: (English and Russian / Polish and Ukrainian are optional)

Web Design & Development for Kids (Ages 7+)

Course Structure Overview

Duration: 12 weeks (3+ months)

Format: 1 lesson per week + homework

Focus:

80% HTML & CSS (Front-End Basics)

20% Figma, JavaScript & PHP (Intro level)

Language: Bilingual

Final Result: Each student builds their own website

12-Lesson Outline

Lesson 1 – What Is the Internet & How Websites Work

  • Concepts:

• What is the Internet?

• What is a website?

• Front-end vs Back-end (simple explanation)

• How kids use websites every day

  • Practice:

• Explore kid-friendly websites

• First look at HTML code (no typing yet)

Homework:

Draw or describe your dream website

Lesson 2 – HTML Basics: Building Blocks of the Web

  • Concepts:

• What is HTML?

• Tags, elements, opening & closing tags

• Structure of a webpage

  • Practice:

• Create first HTML page

• <html>, <head>, <body>, <h1>, <p>

Homework:

Create a simple “About Me” page

Lesson 3 – More HTML: Text, Images & Links

  • Concepts:

• Headings & paragraphs

• Images and links

• File structure (folders & files)

  • Practice:

• Add images and links to a page

• Create a mini personal webpage

Homework:

Add 2 images and 3 links to your page

Lesson 4 – Lists, Buttons & Page Organization

  • Concepts:

• Ordered & unordered lists

• Buttons

• Clean page structure

  • Practice:

• Create menus using lists

• Add buttons to a webpage

Homework:

Create a hobbies or favorites list

Lesson 5 – Introduction to CSS: Making Websites Beautiful

  • Concepts:

• What is CSS?

• Colors, fonts, and text styling

• Inline vs external CSS (basic)

  • Practice:

• Change colors and fonts

• Style headings and paragraphs

Homework:

Style your page using at least 3 colors

Lesson 6 – CSS Layout Basics

  • Concepts:

• Boxes and spacing

• Margin & padding

• Simple layouts

  • Practice:

• Create content boxes

• Improve page readability

Homework:

Create a neat layout for your website

Lesson 7 – Fun CSS: Backgrounds & Effects

Concepts:

• Background images & gradients

• Hover effects

• Simple animations (intro)

Practice:

• Add hover effects to buttons

• Style backgrounds

Homework:

Design a fun homepage look

Lesson 8 – Responsive Design (Beginner Level)

  • Concepts:

• What is mobile-friendly design?

• Screen sizes explained simply

  • Practice:

• Make text and images adapt to screen size

• Preview site on phone vs laptop

Homework:

Check your website on different screen sizes

Lesson 9 – Design with Figma

  • Concepts:

• What is UI/UX?

• Designing before coding

• Basic Figma tools

  • Practice:

• Design a simple webpage layout

• Colors, buttons, sections

Homework:

Finish your Figma design mockup

Lesson 10 – JavaScript: Making Websites Interactive

  • Concepts:

• What is JavaScript?

• Events (clicks)

• Simple logic

  • Practice:

• Button click alert

• Change text with JS

Homework:

Add one interactive element

Lesson 11 – PHP & Back-End Basics

  • Concepts:

• What is the back end?

• What is PHP used for?

• Servers explained simply

  • Practice:

• Simple PHP example

• How forms send data

Homework:

Understand how a website “talks” to a server

Lesson 12 – Domains, Hosting & Final Project

  • Concepts:

• What is a domain?

• Where websites are stored

• How to publish a website

  • Practice:

• Final website review

• Show & tell presentation

  • Final Project:

Present your own website to the class

• Age 7 and up

• Laptop required

• Strong curiosity & eagerness to learn

• Attendance for each lesson

By the end of the course, students will:

• Understand how websites work

• Build and style their own website

My name is Sipan Stepanyan. I am a karate practitioner and physical education trainer with experience in teaching both children and adults for 15 years. I specialize in adaptive PE, which means I design and adjust exercises so that people of all abilities can participate, improve their strength, coordination, and confidence.

Through karate, I not only teach self-defense and discipline, but also focus on respect, focus, and building a positive mindset. My goal as a trainer is to create a supportive environment where every student—no matter their age, background, or physical ability—feels motivated and successful.

I am excited to bring my skills, energy, and passion for movement to your program and help students grow both physically and mentally.
